About Birchcliff Tree Care
Graham has lived in Birchcliff his whole life, local to Birchcliff P.S and Birchmount Collegiate, William lives right at the bottom of Blantyre and grew up in the east end and Karla although from the west end played an integral role in the last year of Kelly’s Tree Care and a big supporter of Scarborough! The entire crew are graduates from the Humber arboriculture program along with Fleming Urban Forestry program and have either or both Ontario and International arborist certifications. Between us we have a solid 25 years of experience in arboriculture!
Long story short, we are located in the heart of Birchcliff and couldn’t get more local!

Tree Pruning
We offer pruning services, including but not limited to. Crown reduction (ethical tree topping) limb reduction, structural pruning, removal of dead branches, crown thinning, vista pruning, light accessibility, risk mitigation pruning, elevation pruning, Fine pruning, hedging, clearance pruning and limb removal. Amongst other techniques suited for your property and objectives.
Tree Support Systems

Storm Damage Solutions
Since 2013 it’s abundantly clear all of us have taken a keener look at our trees since the unforgettable southern Ontario ice storm. With ever changing weather patterns, temperature fluctuation and severe weather episodes like heavy winds, rain and snow. It’s clear weather will affect our trees and landscapes in the years to come.
We have excellent experience with tree hazard identification and options to mitigate these hazards. Rest assured not all trees must come down! Mature trees are assets for your property, the environment and human mental health. We offer services ranging from basic post storm debris clean up, safely removing loose/ hanging or broken branches a loft to amending and correcting damaged tree parts. We also offer pruning options to reduce risk for more susceptible branch failure by means of reducing size or branch weight over higher occupancy areas or valuable aspects of your property. We also offer cabling options and support systems within canopies to support main stems and branching.
In the worst of cases where a tree has failed in whole or is no longer viable for pruning options, we offer complete tree removal.
Tree Removals
Birchcliff Tree Care puts emphasis on being a tree preservation company, however we understand that in certain cases there are exceptions to this value. Hazardous trees, trees of poor variety or invasive species, trees growing in non-conventional spaces or removal of trees for construction purposes may be candidates for removal by Birchcliff Tree Care. We offer the accessibility to arborist reports that can be sent to the city of Toronto in order for permits to be issued. The city of Toronto bylaw states trees, measuring 30 cm in diameter at 1.4 m above grade level require permits to remove along with a tree replanting plan.
